Well, I'm well and truly winding down now. Its my last day at work, my boss went home sick, and I've finished all my work. Feels good! :D
I'll have ten minutes when I get home to get ready before I have to go and pick a friend up and meet at church at 6 for the kids nativity practice. I'll find out whether or not I have to make these damn masks! LOL Then we're heading out for a curry - yum. I might take my taste buds up a notch and try something hotter than I usually have - I'm brave I know!
Tomorrow, will officially be called, creative saturday. Come and do "crafts with Caroline" heheh. I'm not planning on leaving until night time, unless, someone wants me to join them in getting me a new mobile phone for Christmas! Yey! The one I wanted a while back, I discovered today has reduced in price dramatically. I'm hoping (see me hoping?!) *hoping*
I'd like to see Return of the King at some point - hoping for that too ;)

I decided I'm gonna make most of my Christmas cards this year, I make cards quite often, after I cant find one I like in the shops. Handmade cards beat bought ones hands down anyday. Although the odd birthday card is a little easier to deal with than a whole set of Christmas cards!! I'll have to get a little production line going, I'm still waiting for inspiration at the moment though, plus, its saturdays job along with the cow and sheep masks. I dont intend to leave the house until night time that day!
I was thinking on my way to work this morning, the animals have the right idea, hibernating for the winter. I think I'd quite like to hibernate. Imagine it, staying in bed all day - fantastic. I think I'd have to get up for Christmas though! :D
I think I want a webcam - they're fun-ness.

Shopping was a semi-success last night. The Trafford Centre was totally packed, it took us an extra hour to get in the place due to all the cars queuing. So we had an hour and a halfs shopping time before the place shuts, in which, we did quite well. I got a lovely necklace and earring set for Ruth, and a cool vase for Mum. Phil got four presents, and I got a few other bits I needed. I'm going to have to go again - alone on monday I think. I booked monday and tuesday off, theres no way I'm going shopping on saturday, it'll be bedlam.
I'm mostly sorted anyway, just need to think of something good to get Dad... help!?
Was just chatting to D online, we're playing on Christmas day this year, which I'm really looking forward to. Just need to think of some cool songs we can do, meeting up with him tomorrow night.

Two of my friends who we haven't seen in a while came out for a drink with us on friday, it was a great night. Good to see them.
On saturday morning we travelled down to Coventry to see D. Wasn't a bad journey, the M6 was reasonably kind (only got stuck in 1 jam!) We met up with him briefly before he had to leave to do his afternoon concert. So the six of us went into town to look around, Coventry isn't a particularly inspiring place. The only good thing was the cathedral, I'd wanted to visit there for a long time, and I wasn't disappointed. Just to the right of the entrance I was greeted by the amazing stained glass windows (I'm a bit of a stained glass geek) and stood in awe for several minutes at the immense Graham Sutherland tapestry. We met up with D again for fish and chips at his house. We had to dine in his bedroom due to the house being totally full of other people who had arrived for the evening concert.. (All seven of the people living there are all on a music ministry course, and so relatives/friends etc of all seven arrived at once!)
The concert was amazing, theres far more students there than I expected. The tutors performed one song together and it was literally jaw-dropping. They have to be among the most talented musicians I've ever seen - they were awesome. The students were good too, D has improved ten fold on his guitar playing, and it showed.
Afterwards we all just piled in D's (very small) front room and drank. All the other students left straight away so we had the place to ourselves.
The following day we lazed around in the morning, then went out for lunch together and set off home. Phil had slept strangely and could hardly turn his neck to the right, so I had to be his eyes on the motorway. Good journey - apart fom that. Got back in time for church and then went out for a drink. Good weekend.
I'm gonna be so busy this week, tonight Phil and I are going to try and do our Christmas shopping. Tuesday night is kungfu. Wednesday night I've got a practise run for the Christmas services. Thursday night is BB. And friday night we're taking some of the youth group out for a curry. Inbetween all that I have to find time to make two masks, a cow and a sheep, for the nativity service on sunday. (laughs) Oh yeah, and I have to write Christmas cards LOL

Fridayyyyyyy!!!! :D
Its raining constantly and its dull as ever, but that won't dampen my spirits today! :D I like being happy its fab! More people should be happy :)
Went bowling last night with Brigade. Phil completely beat me, he got 3 strikes in a row right away, and plenty of others to go with them. I dont like games I cant win at, especially games I can't beat Phil at!! I'm quite competitive really and hate losing, I'm just a big baby! LOL
I just today finished a HUGE order for South Africa, which I have done single-handedly. I total, its all worth more than my yearly wage (which doesn't take much I admit), I think that deserves a pay rise, surely!!
Ok, maybe I should seriously give some thought to Christmas presents this weekend, the thing is... I've no idea! oops.

Having a lovely week, beginning to get that warm Christmas glow. Work folk are mostly jolly, it seems a few people had a chuckle at my expense on Friday, which I deserved, but I don't mind either :)
I'm really looking forward to the weekend, we're all going down to Coventry to see Damian. He's in a concert on saturday night, which we're all going to. Then he's coming back with us for Christmas on Sunday.
Not up to much tonight, I thought I might take advantage of having no Phil for the evening and watch Lord of the Rings I right through (in preparation for the release of III next week :)) and maybe have a tipple or two... chocolate maybe? yeah! :)

Lol, that last post makes me giggle, its surprising how alcohol can temporarily relieve cold symptoms. The party turned out to be cracking, and I inevitably had way too much to drink as did many others. I remember at one point getting the boss up to dance - oops! Dont remember much after that which is a little worrying, Phil picked me up afterwards, and took great delight on informing me the following morning on some of the amusing things I did on the way home, much to my dismay!
Before the amusing things however I scared the crap out of him (and myself) by wandering off up the road in a drunken stupor. Anything could have happened to me and I couldn't of done a thing if it did. I can't remember or even comprehend why I'd do such a daft thing - praise God for mobile phones (which he had to ring 5 times before I managed to find it in my bag!)
You can imagine my headache (and stomach) on saturday, all day - I wasn't sick though surprisingly. So, didn't do much, just wallowed in self-pity and deservedly recieving no sympathy. Couldn't bring myself to drink on saturday night, and stuck to non-alcoholic beverages instead.
Did little yesterday too, can't face Christmas shopping yet - I'm psyching myself up for it slowly!
Just about getting rid of the cold now - I'm at the "thick snot" stage. eww

I think my throaty thing is coming back again... doh! Never really shook it off properly last time. Last night at kungfu I sort of started wheezing - weird. I'll have to get dosed up.
Did some sparring last night for the first time since I've gone back, it was great. I do need to toughen up again though, I've got a few bruises.
Just got shouted at by some whiney southern guy. He always whinges and irritates everyone in our office. Its nearly Christmas!! Wheres the love black eyed peas, wheres the love??!?!
Alarmingly, I only have two weekends in which to do the Christmas shopping. A week on saturday I'm going down to Coventry for the weekend, so thats a wasted one. I can see a few midweek evening trips to the Trafford Centre will be necessary (JOY).
Even more alarmingly, I cant think of anything to buy - for anyone...

Well.. my first day back at work after a lovely break could not be more dreary. For the first time this year it was totally dark when I set off this morning, and now its dark again. I'm not a fan of this period of seeing no sunlight whatsoever through the week lol. Plus its cold and raining.. ewww.
Its our works Christmas do on friday night. Theres been a few socials arranged over the time I've been here, none of which I've attended largely because my boss never goes either. So it'll be the first social thing I've been to. I'm not that gifted in the conversation department, so hopefully a few lemonades will aid that, hehe. Hopefully Phil will give me a lift there and back, I'll ask him later. I wont have much time to get ready either, half an hour if I'm lucky lol. Its a good job I'm a quick getter readier ha. I think I'll do pigtails - yeah.
I just had my hair cut before I went away, its shorter than I wanted but its at a good pigtail length, they go spikey - cool :D
Whilst away, my mother took the liberty to buy me a new dovet. Its a beast! Its like, 8 inches thick. No more cold nights for me, quite the opposite. Makes me sweat actually (ok too much info, soz!)
Well, I dont care. I think I've got dog-breath, probably from the various coffees and liquorice allsorts consumed today - wheres my toothbrush?!
