What a strange couple of days I've had...
Yesterday morning I went upstairs to get the coffee in and the whole of marketing were all stood in a circle talking, when I walked in they all fell silent and the boss asked me to leave. I got the coffee from the canteen instead and this 'meeting' carried on for a good hour or more. None of them would tell us what happened or what it was about. Then that afternoon the I.T. guy came down to our office. It appeared someone had downloaded porn into our department folder on the network drive (!!) Not just any porn, but it was also a virus. Obviously no-one owned up to this, and we pointed out that quite a few other people had access to that folder, not just us.
Anywho, this morning I got in to discover that the police were here and in reception with one of the guys from marketing. We "ummed" and "ahhed" between us and wondered what the hell was going on. A few minutes later a police *van* turned up and they searched him and carted him off in full view of a LOT of offices.
Gossip has been rife but Simon, the boss came down and told us what it was about (as we are classed as being under marketing) We've held a prize draw for our customers and he's been accused of fiddling it somehow and sending some of the prize money to someone he (alledgedly) knows. So hes been arrested. Its pretty awful cause hes a really nice guy, the type who light up a room when they walk in. Everyones upset and the atmosphere is glum. I really really hope hes innocent.

I have two bottles of red wine at home waiting to be drank. I did intend to have one with last nights fajitas, but I thought Corona would go better with them (being mexican and all!) and I think I made the right choice, they were *so* good. Having spare wine is never a bad thing anyway ;) Especially when its Chianti.
I don't know whether to go to kungfu tonight or eat lots of pancakes and drink one of those bottles - tough choice...
P.S. Thanks to all of you for your kind words - means a lot :)

My parents are away, they go to stay in Keswick at this time every year. Its nice for me to be alone to reflect, but at other times I need people round me.
All my buddies came round last night, and they are again tonight. I think only Phil knows and remembers how I feel. I hate to keep harping on about it infront of the others. I'll keep quiet and manage, I'm good at that ;)

I'm pissed off. Its that shitty time of year again, my brother would be 29 today. And on wednesday he'll have been dead for 6 years. I don't think I'll ever get over it. I think I need counselling or something...

This day started fantastically. Blue skies, singing birds, warm glow of contentedness and the friday feeling.
Now I feel like shit cause I'm sick of arguing about the same thing, in my head, and on that board.
No-one can be more upset about that than me, and now everyone knows why.

In a bit of a mood today boo :(
Our little rehearsal went ok last night. I dont know why Jeanette bothered coming down as she talked through the whole of it. We all went to Damians afterwards for a brew. Then when we were about to leave, discovered that Phils car had been completely blocked in by a police van. We waited around for a while, they literally left it right in the middle of the road and so thought they must be chasing someone, and wouldn't be too long. After half an hour went by I decided to leave as I live within walking distance. Phil rang me sometime later to tell me what happened. He was waiting for an hour and a half. He rang the police station and ten minutes later two officers came out of a house down the road. They were really rude to him and even tried to accuse him of not paying his tax, his disc expires at the end of this month and they were wrong.
I hate the police, I wish I'd been there, I'd have told them where to go. Thinking about it, its probably a good job I wasn't there, or I might have got myself arrested or something LOL!

This week is going surprisingly quickly, which is fabulous. Not been up to much, stayed in monday night, went to kungfu last night and then met up with the others for a drink. All that hard work was probably all for nothing, two pints a packet of crisps and a takeaway on the way home LOL!
Damian, Ryan and I are playing for a wedding next month (Phils ex-girlfriend, Jeanette of all people), so while Damians home we're having a rehearsal tonight. I asked Jeanette what songs she'd chosen on sunday and she invited herself down to watch  So we'll have to play the three songs shes picked first, then try and get rid of her so we can have a jamming session! :D (She can talk for England you see)
Its strange how our relationship has changed over the years, we used to be really good friends, then when Phil and Jeanette split up, she stopped coming out with us. Then Phil and I got together, its sort of weird. We've never spoken about it, I'd like to know what she thinks. Also, since I've been with him I've found out a few things, like how much she hurt him, so now I don't really like her. How could she do that to him?! I'm quite the green-eyed monster and sometimes get jealous whenever the two of them are talking - I'm stupid.

Had quite a boozy last few days (oops) Caught up with Becky and Damian on friday and later on consoled a drunk Lauren in the ladies toilets (she has "issues") a good night in all though. I woke up abnormally early on saturday, 8.30. And I could not get back to sleep, I considered going to kungfu (despite my hangover) but really wanted to watch the Manchester derby on Sky Sports. I chose the latter and went up to Phils for the 12.30 kick off to cheer on the Blues who lost dammit.
Our Valentines meal was booked for 7. We weren't going to bother until Becky and Damian said they couldnt afford it and offered their booking to us, but it was nice. They served a complimentary glass of champagne and we had melon to start with, served in a fan with a pile of sliced strawberries and black grapes drizzled artistically with sweet sauce. It was a four course meal so we had a tomato soup before our main meal which was sirloin beef topped with cheesy onions (in a pile) with some potatoey thing. Finished off with profiteroles.
Sounds elegant, but heres more details.. I knew we were in for a laugh when Phil tried to stab the base of his melon and it flew right off the table, and onto the floor (Pickled onion stylee!) Luckily we were sitting right in the corner and it hit the wall first (fits of giggles from the common couple in the corner) They'd only just started serving and it was *really* quiet! HA! Next thing, whilst looking at the wine list, Phil in one motion almost knocked the lamp off the windowsill and almost tipped over my champagne while trying to show me one of the selections. HA! We picked a Chianti Classico (at an extortionate price but what the heck!)
We jumped in a taxi to the pub which was packed and met up with Damian and Becky. Ryan and Lauren joined us a second later, but we didn't see them for the next ten minutes as a few of their friends were in. The evening went on and I got pretty tipsy, resulting in getting mad at Lauren for something (which I won't bore you with) they stayed on in the pub as we were leaving and I flipped out. I hope theres no security cameras at the front of the pub cause if there is, I think I'll be banned. I daftly started kicking stuff out of anger, didn't manage to break anything fortunately. A few drunken phonecalls and text messages flew around. Alcohol does bad things to me sometimes.
On Sunday I was playing the drums again, I think I'll request to play more as I love it so much. And I received a compliment which was nice. I apologised to Lauren but neither of us really knew what to say after that which was a little sad. Had a busy afternoon preparing for youth alpha in the evening. None of the younger lads turned up, but a few older ones came. We all agreed to not do alpha until the others are there and so we watched Shrek instead (which we were planning to use for one of the clips) Video projector, main speakers, cinematic heaven!

Good night last night.
I decided on the way home from work to make little anonymous Valentine's cards for all my friends. I tried to make them all different, but they'll still know they're from me I think.. ah well :)
I also had to make envelopes, and underestimated how long this would take. I ended up being late for Brigade.. again! Had a busy night, left early to pick up my friend Lauren, dropped the car off and went out. Her mum was a bit better yesterday she said, which is a relief. She stubbornly wouldn't let me buy all her drinks, dammit. She ended up getting a little sozzled on automatic double Bacardi & Diet Cokes (ugh) I dont like Bacardi & Coke anyway, but with diet Coke? Its my worst nightmare (I'm about to puke just thinking about it!)

I woke up this morning to the sound of my neighbours yelling at each other at the tops of their lungs, its not the first time thats happened. I don't know where they get the energy from at 7am, or what they find to argue about. I'm feeling much better today, after my first nights sleep this week. I bottle stuff up until I crack sometimes. Theres stuff I can't talk to anyone about and have to deal with myself, which isn't always easy. I'm coming out the other end now though :)And I've turned my attentions to others, as opposed to myself. One of my friends mothers is in hospital with pneumonia. I've been praying for them both, and I rang her this morning. Shes fine and I offered to buy all her drinks tonight to try and lure her out, I hope she comes.

I haven't slept much for the last three nights. I don't know why, the first night I was worried about something, now I guess I'm just worried about not sleeping! I tried everything.. watching tv, reading, having a warm milky drink, having beer! I fear I might not make it until the end of the week if this carries on :(
Any volunteers to come and sing me a lullaby?!

And what I am to you
is not real
and what I am to you
you do not need
and what I am to you
is not what you mean to me
you give me miles and miles of mountains
and I asked for the sea
Don't ever listen to Damien Rice whilst drinking and feeling depressed.
When I cry I get bags under my eyes that stay there for the next 18 hours or so, they're still there now. I need to snap out of this and cheer the heck up.

It did rain, hard too! :( We did intend to get the bus down, but we'd have got soaked and so, decided to get a taxi. Still got wet in the short distance to the first bar despite running!! This first bar was full of folks in suits that had clearly been there since after work - and therefore were all bladdered. One guy tried to kiss me at the bar, I gave him a swift dig in the ribs and retreated with the first of many much needed beers. They got better from there on though, much better. It was a pretty great night. I felt safe all night, for a change. We visited countless bars and had a bit of a boogie in the last few before trying to get in a club and failing due to the strict gay door policy. We wandered around for a while longer trying to find another before giving up and grabbing a taxi home. We'll certainly be going back there, and we'll get in that club :P
I woke up saturday morning to the phone ringing, Jeff needed me to go to the Brigade swimming gala to help judge. (*I hate this job) Echoey swimming pool full of parents cheering on their beloved offsprings at the tops of their lungs. (Not good when you have a self inflicted HEADACHE!) :'( Anyway, the actual event ran quite smoothly. Unlike last year when one of the races was a photo finish, I decided which was first and as a result the whole of the "losing" team, parents & leaders came over to yell at me (and I mean yell) ending with me walking out of there in tears (wtf!?) thus *I hate, that job!
The weather turned wild that evening, gale force winds and rainy, haily badness. Both my fab parents volunteered to taxi us all to the pub :D which was REALLY quiet (who'd want to come out in that?) My hat blew off twice on the way back and landed in a dirty puddle, needs washing now :(
Church stuff all yesterday ending with a violent and energetic game of unihock. And then a wrestling match on Grahams sofa *sigh*

I'm going out partying tonight at the gay village in Manchester. Its supposed to be a brilliant night out, and we haven't been for a good boogie in a while. I intend to stay up all night! Hope it doesn't rain, as I'll have no coat! :D

My "photo shoot" went well! Phil didnt make that good a photographer as we ended up arguing due to me bossing him around (artistic temperament I guess) so one of my friends took over. I'll post them later on today for your perusal.

Overslept... again. I think I should probably set more than one alarm. I lost my temper when I wasn't ready in time too, not pretty. I hope that door I elbowed is okay, I didn't check it.
My brain isn't working yet, I think I need caffiene. I have to get inspired today. I won't bother expaining why but tonight I have to pose for some photographs showing different aspects of humanity (!) - tired, hungry, anger, love, sadness, temptation, learning, work & obedience. I could have done the 'anger' one this morning, I could do the 'tired' one right now.

I had an odd dream last night... it was saturday morning and I was awaken by the phone ringing, but I didn't answer it as it was 8.55am and I was still in bed. Then my mum shouted that it was for me. So I answered it and it was a customer from work. He didnt understand that concept of weekend and somehow expected me to check that an order of his was due for delivery on monday. I asked him how he got my number, then I woke up. The first thing I did when I got in the office this morning was check there were no orders outstanding for this particular customer. Next time he rings up, I may freak out!
I slept through my alarm this morning and got up, dressed, fed, watered, and ready in 22 minutes flat. This coffee is going down well :)

Spontaneous pub visits on fridays are becoming a regular event, thus not spontaneous anymore! We even have our own designated table. There was a band on called "The DV8's" which made me grin, they were pretty good too :) I had quite enough to drink, and we all agreed it'd be good to get a curry on the way home. There was a group of arseholes in there who found it funny to try and intimidate us, me in particular, being the only girl (they probably never seen one before - I thought) not only that, they shouted racist insults at the poor guys serving. I was ready to kick they're *asses.* The curry totally filled me up to the point of nausea. So I came online for a couple of hours and got made to drink water - it worked.
I learned the day after that all who enjoyed a curry that night experienced some queasiness, but we never learn, we keep going back there despite the "never-agains." lol
I didn't make it to kungfu, unsurprisingly. Went into town that afternoon running a few errands. Pub at night.
Had a busy day yesterday. It was the first of the youth alpha courses we're running for the younger lads. (Its a course thats been running in the UK for a few years now, which outlines the basics of Christianity) We had a meeting about it, and decided to make it as fun and interactive as possible for them. I spent all yesterday afternoon doing a powerpoint presentation of the photos I took of people from within church, mixed with images of famous Christians. We had three movie clips to show so Graham and I set up his laptop and dvd player, my laptop, linked it all to the video projector and mixer to the speakers. (What I'm tring to say is, we put a lot of effort in!) Four of the six lads showed up, which wasn't bad going, but they were so disruptive. One in particular would interrupt at every opportunity. Its always quite frustrating and discouraging when that happens. The next few weeks are going to be tough I think.
