I'm suffering from a sore throat, just in time for Rachel and Adrian's wedding! I really hope I can get rid of it in time. We had a rehearsal last night, which probably didn't help matters. It was pretty good until some drunk guy walked in (our LOUD music attracted him.) Fortunately, D's Mum was there and knew him, she kept him under control. I'm sure he'd have got violent if it wasn't for her. Also, he wanted a go on my drumkit, there was no way in the world I was going to let him! I took the opportunity to hide them while he left the room, he'd probably have broken in for them if he knew where they were. I pretended I'd taken them home.
So for the next two days I'll make getting my throat better a priority. I'm playing drums and singing the songs during the service, but also providing entertainment while they sign the register (probably more nerve wracking.) The church will be packed I'm sure, so my voice needs to be in top form!
I'm drinking bucketloads of water. I think I'll give the pub a miss tonight, alcohol and smoky air isn't good. I'm going to inhale steam tonight, hehe.
Any more tips Lala? Anyone?

Had a great time this weekend as I thought. Becky and I arrived for 1.30pm, I put my foot down as I thought we were going to be late. Turns out we weren't supposed to be there until 2.30pm! So we found the nearest pub and started drinking. I was quite annoyed when the bartender asked us both to show ID, I bet I was older than he was! We had a couple of drinks in there and then headed back to the hotel, all the other girls had arrived apart from the Hen herself who's train was running late. We took the opportunity to decorate the room with various things. She then arrived and we headed out, the plan was to take a bus tour around the city. We just missed one and decided to just wander round instead in search of bars. We found a fair few and came back to the hotel to get ready. Nine girls - one bathroom.. rrrright. I decided to get ready in the toilets in the corridor in peace. Then just before we went out, we presented Rachel with her 'hen gifts' she wasn't that happy, but I made her wear that veil for photos. Little did she know that we smuggled them all out with us for use later in the evening.
We had a meal at an italian place, it was lovely and there were another two or three hen nights in there too. Then we hit the bars, every single one of which someone got asked for ID, bizarre. There were loads of other hen and stag partys around, so we had a lot of laughs. I took lots of pictures, which turned out pretty well, I'll try and post a couple. Then we went to a club, only bought one drink in there as they were so expensive. We danced all night. We got a lot of attention from the opposite sex, one of which decided to give us a strip tease! He got down to his leopard skin boxer shorts before he was thrown out. It was a good night.
The following day was nice and chilled, we took a boat ride along the river, had a coffee, wandered around, grabbed some lunch, watched a street entertainer etc etc. The first group set off home in their car and Becky and I waited with the others before they set off for the station. We had a good journey home. That evening we went to a silver wedding party for a while and then to Martins house. Lauren arrived home that day and she came along but left early to catch up on sleep.
Did little on sunday, it was raining for the duration of the day, went to Martins again that evening. Nice weekend :)

This weeks been a bit of a drag, been busy at work. I'm off tomorrow though so today is my friday. Becky and I are off up to York for Rachel's hen party, we went shopping last night for "supplies." Becky is Rachel's sister and chief bridesmaid and therefore is in charge. Rachel is quite a shy character so we know she won't be keen to dress up or anything. We visited Ann Summers and couldn't resist getting her a veil and L plates, she probably won't wear them when we go out but I want pre party photos of her in them at least! I also got her some pink furry handcuffs (though I don't know what you'd use those for) *innocent face* got myself some fake tan too. I am SO pale you would not believe, thats what you get for being British and fair skinned. Anyway, I still have marks from the middle of my arms downwards from when I got burnt some weeks ago, not particularly attractive. I'll be bearing a bit of flesh for the hen party and the wedding so it needed sorting out! Thats tonights job, it means I'll miss out on the pub :o but its a sacrifice I'm willing to take. After all, at these type of events there tend to be a lot of photos taken!
I'll have to watch how much I drink, as I have to drive back the day after. Theres no rush to get back though so it should be fine. Maybe I'll do a full english breakfast for everyone in the morning hmmm
Can't wait! :D

Sheesh, so I survived my weekend of loneliness! I went out for a meal with my parents on friday, it made a nice change and cheered me up a little bit. It was nice for Mum to get out of the house too. The rest of my evening consisted of watching tv and drinking too much. I watched 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy' which I'd not seen before, thoroughly enjoyed that, then Friends, the Big Brother.. with dutch courage in me I decided to ring an old school friend that contacted me over the internet. I'd not seen or spoken to her in 8 years! We agreed to meet in town for lunch on saturday.
I was pretty nervous about meeting her, despite her being one of my closest friends while at school. I arrived first, allowing me time to develop more nerves! I sat near the door so I could look out for her. When she arrived I stood up to greet her and gave her a hug, she used to be taller than me and that was no longer the case. We had a really good chat and caught up - shes now an air hostess and is drop dead gorgeous!
That evening I watched Return of The King with my new friend, a bottle of red ;)

Not been up to much this week. And I'll be all alone this weekend - all the boys are off to Barcelona today for Adrian's stag do, Lauren goes to Portugal tomorrow morning, and Becky's in Belgium. Woe is me. DVD's, beer and bed for me. I was thinking I might get a tattoo on saturday, just a small one on the inside of my wrist. I'm not so sure now, Phil tried to talk me out of it last night... pfft. Then on sunday afternoon I'm playing taxi and escorting various people to and from the airport.
It'll be nice to have some time alone I think. Although I'm having to put up with a bit of drama. Last night Ryan collared me in the pub and asked if he could talk to me on the way home, he smiled with it, so I knew I wasn't in trouble. He asked me if I'd been talking to Lauren as he's not been seeing much of her lately. He's being really possessive of her. She works nights every weekday, and he is unemployed. She's not been seeing him through the day so as not to discourage him from looking for a job. I explained this to him but I felt awful. She told me she wasn't sure if she was in love with him anymore. I can't help but feel partly responsible. And there I am telling him everythings going to be alright - I'm a two-faced bitch.

Funny how things can change over the weekend. I took friday off, specifically to talk to Lauren about our current dilemma. We went for a drive over the tops. Parked up, and had a good, healthy, sober chat. I find it really difficult to talk about my feelings, especially without the aid of a drink! So I struggled, we both did, but I feel so much better for it. Shes been struggling with her faith too, we talked about that, we talked about our relationships, we really made progress. We had a few cuddles too, and got honked at by a passing lorry driver at one point, which we both found highly amusing!
That afternoon we drove down to Coventry to see Damians final concert at his college. All of the students were excellent, I'd quite like to go there myself after seeing the results. Throughout the evening they played all the songs off the class of 2004 album. One of Damians songs made it on there, and so, was performed. I was/am so blessed by it I can't describe. Its as though the song was written just for me. God really spoke to me through it and I'm really encouraged.

Sad post.. sorry.
I'm so down in the dumps, thinking about some of the stuff I've done wrong. I'm doubting, doubting my relationships, doubting my faith, doubting myself. I don't see a way out of this, and I can't talk to anyone about it.
I'm gonna get drunk, see if that helps...

So whats been happening... pub as normal thursday/friday. On saturday I did some serious shopping and took along Phil, Becky and Ryan. I bought loads, with a lot of help from my personal shopper, Becky. I got a new suit for the wedding, with a shirt for work (which I am wearing now!) Two different coloured girly tops (one to wear at the wedding,) new slippers, shot glasses, great wedding card, two tops - one white, one black to wear underneath the previously mentioned fairly see-through girly tops. I did consider getting a hat but gave up after five hours of shopping!
That evening it was planned that we'd go out in Manchester. It fell through when Ryan and Graham decided they had no money, so we went to the pub again. And then myself, Lauren, Ryan and Martin went into Oldham to The Castle. I had a bizarre moment in the taxi on the way up there I was sat inbetween Lauren and Martin in the back, they both tried holding my hand at-the-same-time. It freaked me out for a moment and I crossed my arms LOL! We ended up playing pool in there whilst drinking Corona-without-lime (ugh.) Ended up pretty smashed again. Lauren fell flat on her face when she tripped over a pool cue. I went to pick her up, she had an impressive bruise on the bottom of her chin. She stayed at my place that evening, not one of my best ideas.
Sunday morning the rain was lashing down so we waited and got a lift over with Mum and Dad. (My church is literally a minutes walk away) I had to lock up and got drenched running from the front door to the car at the back. I didn't feel too great and nearly fainted during the prayer! I think I was singing too hard. I slept all afternoon as I didn't get much the night before. Then after church in the evening we watched the Euro 2004 final between Greece and Portugal. I'm delirious that Greece won 1-0 as I've won the sweepstake here at work. Drinks are on me! :D

Went to the pub on tuesday night (for a change) Lauren's last night of freedom as she'll now be working 5 nights a week at Subway. Won't be seeing much of her from now on. It was quite a nice evening. Graham came down after work and gave us all a lift home. His phone must have fell out of his pocket and got left on the car seat all night, that is until someone smashed the window and pinched it. Phil and I went round last night and I've given him my old one. The stupidest thing of all is that it will have cost Graham more money to get the window fixed than that phone was worth!
I'm having more wisdom tooth pain today.. I'm putting off seeing the dentist for as long as possible.
